Students and parents interested in learning more about BGS and Diploma Plus Performance Based Learning should plan to attend this informal conversation.  Learn about the work that is ongoing in creating this new MCCSC Alternative School where students who desire a diploma and a chance to make it in college, but struggle in the big school environment can find a place that fits their needs.

Accepting Applications for Fall Classes

which start Tuesday, August 13, 2012


The BGS will be applications for fall 2012 enrollment for students entering  grades 9-12.  Target enrollment is 120.  We are accepting applications now, and are  now have an enrollment of 94 .  See below for information.

Information for 2012-2013 School Year

Students interested in attending the Bloomington Graduation School in the fall of 2012 should contact the BGS office to request an application packet at 705 W. Coolidge Drive, Bloomington, IN, 47403.  Our target for fall starting enrollment is 120, but we can accommodate more if needed.   Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Indiana Department of Education Update:

BGS Awarded Stand - Alone Status for 2011-2012

The Bloomington Graduation School  received approval in April, 2011, from the Indiana Department of Education for its request to be designated a stand alone, diploma granting high school.  This directive goes into effect immediately for the 2011-2012 school year.  The BGS will hold its own commencement celebration which is scheduled for Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre on West Kirkwood Avenue, downtown Bloomington.
